Welcome!

Welcome to the blog for the Oberlin College Geomorphology Research Group. We are a diverse team of students working with Amanda Henck Schmidt on geomorphology questions. This blog is an archive of our thoughts about our research, field work travel notes, and student research projects. Amanda's home page is here.

Geomorphology in The Synapse (!?!)

Salutations! Monica here!

Last semester I wrote my first article in The Synapse, Oberlin College's science magazine, about the basic concepts that provide the premise for our research with isotopes in the lab. (Due to the slow grinding of the publication's gears) it finally came out this semester and I wanted to officially put it on the blog!

It was also the first Geology article *ever* in the publication's history so it's exciting to know that geomorph/geochem was paving the way for other Geology articles this year!

(Check it out on page 28!)

Yours in Geological curiosity,

-Monica
